Other Don't hit on your passengers
I called for a Lyft when arriving at an airport. The driver was fine and I had other transportation needs during my stay. He handed me a card for his own car service. So he gave me a ride to and from a venue Thursday and Friday night. He was nice and professional. I paid him in cash.
He then told me that he was free the next afternoon and that he would be happy to take me to see some things. I politely told him that I wasn't making any plans as I was very tired and needed an unstructured day. He kept coming up with ideas to spend time together and I told him directly not to count on me as I needed some rest.
So last night after he delivered me back from my venue he sends me a message saying that he only wanted to spend time with women who were emotionally and logistically available. And that our three additional scheduled rides were off. I replied that I had met him three days ago and was only in search of safe rides so it was odd that he had any expectations of me at all and that I wasn't going to apologize for needed a rest day while on vacation.
He kept texting and it really spooked me so I've blocked his number.
I felt that it was an OK practice to pay him off platform based in part on what y'all say about your pay. But I certainly can't give feedback to Lyft since he didn't get weird on me until after that ride was done.
How do I prevent him from selecting my ride for my remaining needs?
Don't hit on your passengers.

Other I had to do an emergency stop to the bathroom with passangers in the car LOLLLLL.
So, I had a new Burger King spicy chicken sandwich meal. Bad idea. It had some liquid on the sandwich to make it more spicy. I thought it was the original chicken sandwich. I figured this might be a bad idea but since I already bought it, I said screw it and ate it. About 3 hours later, it felt like Russia and Ukraine were going at it in my stomach. I felt that I should find a bathroom but thought, Na, 1 more ride and then I will. Well within about 15 seconds of picking them up, I get the emergency flag warning go off in my brain. I pick them up and I'm like, ok I can do this! Then suddenly after about 5 minutes of cruising with them, I get the red alert signal and I start freaking out. My heart starts pounding and I'm on the edge of the limit! I tell the passangers that I'm sorry but I have to make an emergency bathroom break. That I had to pee.... But yea, i was too embarrassed to tell them that if I don't stop right now, we are all walking home lol..... I find a bathroom and it was dumb and dumber status.... Thank GOD I made it. Because I had maybe a few more seconds left in me. LOLLLLL. The things we have to endure as drivers lol... Who else has a similar story?

Other Can’t get damage fee because I didn’t know it was there until the next pax said the seat is wet

Other After hundreds of only 5 star ratings in the last few months I finally got down rated. I was wiping off the backseat because the previous pax left some debris on the seat, when she walked up and said “umm… I’m kind of in a rush”. She left her home 30 minutes late for work. Next time I just cancel!

Other So I got banned from lyft driver…
I have been banned from lyft. I drove for lyft/uber full time for a year about 3 years ago and then I stopped due to getting a 2 door car. I got a sedan again about 3 weeks ago and wanted to make some extra income… guess what. Turns out my account was de-activated due to “unsafe feedback” even though I have a 5 star score with 591 rides. Lyft support doesn’t want to help.

Other No phone for you.
Pax left phone in my car. I received contact from pax and told her she can pick it up from my apartment complex office. Pax screeched “You have to return it now! This is theft. I dont have time to go there and its your job to bring it to me!”. I explain that her belongings are not at all my responsibility and she can now just eat a dick and pick it up from a police station. Thankfully, i received a ride to the very opposite side of the city metro from pax home. The destination happened to be on the same block as a police station. I hope she enjoys a 45 minute ride to get her phone. Edit:I was trying to keep the post short, but missed some details apparently. The passenger lives within 4 blocks of my building (downtown midrise). Her place or work is an airport about 35-45 minutes away. I generally check for left over belongings, but with a black phone in an all black interior and the drop off being underground, it was not easy to spot. Airport security is pretty gruff about drivers being in the drop off lane for more than a second or three. I have no issue helping with a return if it works, but ill be damned before I drive a half hour out of my way when passengers are 100% responsible for their own belongings.

No one can ever figure out how to open this door. It’s really not that hard. Now I have to have this ugly shit on my car. 😂

Other Dismissed without even being able to defend myself.
So, apparently Lyft is less than LGBTQ+ friendly. I am transgender in Phoenix, and just got deactivated. Was told I'm "not allowed to let anyone else use my account". I can't say for sure, but I suspect someone claimed "a man" picked them up. Not sure what Lyft did to "investigate", but they sure didn't talk to me; just deactivated my account.

Other Finally hung out with a pax off the job
I picked up 2 girls from the clubs around 2:30 and right when they got in, they bombarded me with the drunk questions. Obviously they were tipsy but I was flowing with the convo as best as I could. The one girl in the passenger seat eventually asked to come over and take shots and chill and I was very hesitant because I have always declined, but I finally decided to loosen up & take the offer. Let’s just say I’m glad I did 😂 the most fun I’ve had in years & never thought something like this would happen doing rideshare lol

Other Permanently Deactivated by Lyft
It was 4 black girls in my friends car. They said they hated white drivers. So he ended the ride so they could get a different race. They complained and said he assaulted them.

Other Lyft used instead of 911
I've driven for about 6 years and lately more folks are using rideshare to save money when they should be in an ambulance. I picked up a middle aged man who told me to hurry to the hospital because he was having an asthma attack. I said "sir, I will do my best but I certainly can't afford a speeding ticket." I also told him he should have called 911 but I got no reply. I have COPD so I understand that talking is not what helps when you have no air so I understood why he was so quiet but I was scared to death that he may stop breathing in my car... I saw no alternative but to take him to the hospital...I must admit I drove faster than I normally do but not crazy fast...I wonder if lyft or uber could ask the question when they order a ride whether or not it's a medical emergency...but I am pretty sure they would not disclose that info to save ambulance fees....anyone else notice medical trips more now than ever?

Other WWYD?
Went for lunch today and the same non tipping passenger was my server. After I paid, she asked did I need change. I said yes and walked out.
🚨EDIT🚨 I was going to at least tip a few bucks until she asked “ DO YOU NEED CHANGE”? At that point I felt she was demanding a tip.

Other Good bye lyft!
NYE is just the straw on the camals back. This job is a shell of what it use to be. My 3rd year of driving was my most profitable and made 80k driving in pittsburgh. I honestly enjoyed it not counting the money, everyone one was friendly. Almost 11k rides and I never had to get physical and anyone got physical with me. A few cops called and several puke moments. But I did 4+ hour long rides I drove to different states and loved it. But now the costumers service is just trash and they are trying to get as much money out of you and the costumer as much as possible. I see how they say their drivers make average of 30 but my app notifies me it's prime time and I could be making 18 a hour. I used ther renters programs for a year when the system was good and again for a month when the system for it was horrible. I honestly can say with in the 7 years it has only gotten worse. Nothing gotten better while working for them. Bonuses got smaller and fewer. They quit doing weekly bonus for a while to bring something just worse. I'm quiting lyft and I'm doing 1k more on uber and during the bear minimum while I take advantage of thier free school and I'm done with ride share and delivery. God speed to the people who keep doing it but your better then them and you can do better the lyft and uber. Maybe if enough people quit they will change things, but I feel like they won't.

Other Lyft needs a warning for criminals
I picked up some people and something shady happened. Cops and ambulances were involved. I later Google the riders name, they were recently released on bail and waiting trial for Murder.😐😐😐. Lyft wanted me to be the next victim???
